“Shahnameh – شاهنامه” or “ The Book of Kings” lies at the very heart of the Persian culture. This piece of literature was brought to Siam by way of the Mughal Empire during the Ayutthaya period. The Office of Art and Culture and the South Asian Studies Centre, the Institute of Asian Studies, Chulalongkorn University would like to invite you to explore the characters from this ancient Persian epic through a contemporary Persian miniatures exhibition “Musing Shahnameh: A Journey from Persia to Siam” by and Iranian artist, Arash Groyan at Chulalongkorn University Museum from February 23, 2022 to March 31, 2022.
