5 Thai universities, consisting of Chulalongkorn University, Chiang Mai University, Burapha University, Prince of Songkla University, and Mahidol University, represented AUN-AYCF Thailand participating in the 19th ASEAN Youth Culture Conference and the 9th ASEAN + 3 between 23-28 June, 2024 at the University of Brunei Darussalam.
This lively forum is a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves into the rich culture of the ASEAN+3 region. They also celebrated our shared heritage and diverse traditions under the theme “A Shared Future towards the Preservation of Arts and Culture.” Participants were engaged in academic dialogue, cultural performances, and workshops. These cooperative activities encouraged students to promote mutual understanding cross-cultural communication and leadership skills.
The forum provided a platform for a showcase of artistic expression to facilitate meaningful conversations and networking among youths from 51 universities to celebrate and preserve the world’s cultural heritage.
On June 27, 2024, Chulalongkorn University with four more universities from Thailand in collaboration participated in a handover ceremony from University of Brunei Darussalam to host the 20th ASEAN Youth Culture Conference and the 10th ASEAN + 3 at Chulalongkorn University 2025. This gesture marked the beginning of the countdown to the opening ceremony of the event at Chulalongkorn University in 2025. We are looking forward to host all participants in Thailand very soon.
